VACATION HOME CHECKS        

The Highland Police Department will keep an eye on your house while you are on vacation.  All you need to do is call the department and let us know when you are leaving and when you are returning from vacation.  Citizens should let the department know if anyone will be house sitting and provide a key holder list for emergencies.   You should also tell the department what vehicles may be in the driveway while you are away.  Examples would be:  resident’s extra vehicles, key holder or family vehicles.  Please call 219-838-3184 and the police dispatcher will get all of your required information.
