BLOCK CAPTAIN SEMINAR

The
Munster Police Department and
Highland Police Department will be
sponsoring a Block Captain
Training Seminar on Thursday, July
9, 2008 at 6:00PM in Highland's
Wicker Park. This meeting will be
held in the west pavillion of the
park located next to the creek, and
light refreshments will be served.
This training is for either current
Block Captains serving Munster
or Highland or for other residents
from either community who
are interested in receiving more
information about becoming a Block
Captain.
During
this meeting the following
information will be presented to
those in attendance:

Update on the current Crime
Watch programs that have been
organized in Munster and
Highland
-
Information on how to start a
Crime Watch group in your
neighborhood
-
Information on how to maintain a
healthy and active Crime Watch
group in already established
areas
-
Ideas for Block Captains to
promote awareness and unity in
your neighborhood
-
Information from current Block
Captains about what works for
them in their respective
neighborhoods
-
A
chance to pick up crime
prevention materials for your
neighbors such as window
stickers and brochures
-
Information on the upcoming
National Night Out Against Crime
being held on Tuesday, August
5th
Don't

you can set up and maintain a
healthy and successful Crime Watch
group in your own neighborhood. For
